About CoDeS LLC
Who we are
CoDeS LLC is a small, founder-led research and development company in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. We build and test the controls that let AI systems take actions inside rules that people set: what is authorized, whether the outcome can be verified, and how recovery is controlled.
The founder

CoDeS LLC was founded by Eric A. Doan, who directs the architecture, defines the requirements, and evaluates the results through hands-on testing. Development is AI-assisted, with coding assistants implementing substantial portions of the software under his direction.
He is a self-taught builder with an evidence-first approach to engineering: nothing is trusted until it is checked, and every action must satisfy the applicable authority and governance rules, with human approval where required.
The story
CoDeS began in early 2026 with a question: what if the technology around a person could become more useful without taking control away from them? Eric started answering it from an Android phone, building small experiments, running them and correcting what failed.
One lesson set the direction. An AI saying that something is done is not enough; the result has to exist and be checkable. We call the rule no fake green: a system must report what really happened, including failure and uncertainty, rather than only look successful.
That rule grew into separate components, each with one job: GAIA, ACP, Aegis, FES and Proof. How they work is explained on the Approach page.
Where it stands
CoDeS is internally tested research and development, not independently certified or qualified for production use. This year it has grown from phone experiments into a working phone-and-computer prototype with measured results, and we now publish a whitepaper, capability statement and technical evidence. We have also submitted a public comment to NIST. It is our own submission, not an endorsement, a collaboration or a certification.
What we are after
In the near term, research collaboration and funding for governed AI action. Over the longer term, a durable, local-first digital estate that stays under the control of the people it belongs to. That is future research, not something we offer today. See the approach or how to work with us.
